Proud! UPNVJ Big Five Campuses Contribute in Handling Covid-19

HumasUPNVJ - The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world, including Indonesia, left many inspiring stories that not only involved individuals but also institutions that were actively involved in handling the virus, including the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ). As a State Defense Campus, UPNVJ also plays an active role in various efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and has won an award from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

“We are very grateful to UPNVJ. Of the 181 thousand Behavior Change Ambassadors in Indonesia, this campus is one of the top five that contributed from 141 campuses in Indonesia that were involved," said Head of the Behavior Change Division of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Dr. Sonny Harry B Harmadi at the award ceremony for UPNVJ at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, Jakarta, Monday (31/10/2022).

Sonny said the Behavior Change Ambassador program was a concrete manifestation of Defending the Country. Behavior Change Ambassadors are like soldiers at war. When other people avoid Covid-19, they go directly to the field explaining to the public the importance of changing behavior to prevent transmission of Covid-19, "They sacrifice their lives to save more people," he said.

UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Anter Venus, MAComm said that the handling of Covid-19 requires aspects of educating the public. In addition to medical efforts, educational efforts are needed about Covid-19 and must be carried out massively so that there are a lot of agents of change needed.

“We did not expect UPNVJ to receive this award. We are grateful because Mr. Sonny is willing to give this award in person," said Venus.

Venus also gave appreciation to students who took part in the Behavior Change Ambassador activities. According to him, it is an extraordinary thing if someone does something and contributes to defending the country sincerely.
