HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) through the Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) held a webinar on the Socialization of the Utilization of E-Journal (Scopus, Science Direct Elsevier, Wiley and JGate), on Thursday (12/01/23).

Webinar The socialization of the use of E-Journal is the second time that UPT has held it. UPNVJ Library. Approximately 200 participants took part in the socialization this time which included UPNVJ lecturers and students.

"This socialization is needed to remind us that we have a journal application so that lecturers and students can make maximum use of this, it can be used as learning material or research. We will take advantage of this socialization so that later it can be useful for research and other academic needs," said UPNVJ Deputy Chancellor Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi, M.Si in his speech.

On this occasion, the Head of UPT. Fajar Nugroho Library, MP also said that this activity was a mandate to be conveyed in order to increase the use of E-Journal.

"This outreach is quite important because it will later explain how to use the E-Journal Scopus, Science Direct Elsevier, Wiley and JGate," said Fajar.

Not only that, Fajar also explained briefly about the facilities available in the UPT. The UPNVJ Library in search of journal materials, especially on the library.upnvj.ac.id page which has been provided to inform all library activities and the journal search process, can go through that page

In this socialization, UPT. The library features Johan Jang, from Elsevier. Elsevier is one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical information and a technology company that has been around since 1880.

Johan Jang, on this occasion, discussed how to explore access to Scopus, direct science with Elsevier.

Johan Jang also explained the difference between Science Direct and Scopus where Science Direct is a journal of all full text articles published by Elsevier, and Scopus is a more extensive database.

Not only that, UPT. The UPNVJ Library also invited Nandana from Jasaraya who discussed the Wiley Online Library and Global eJournal Library platforms as well as the JGate journal search platform which is open access, paid and OA hybrid.
