HumasUPNVJ - In order to increase people's love of reading and literacy, the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Library (UPNVJ) is conducting an accreditation process.
Through various preparations that were quite mature, today, Tuesday (16/05/23) the Chancellor and Library of UPNVJ received a visit from the assessor team of the National Library of Indonesia and the accreditation companion team from the DKI Jakarta Province Library and Archives Service.
The visit was received directly by the Chancellor and his staff in the UPNVJ Rector's Meeting Room along with the Head of UPT Library and his staff.
"Information that there will be accreditation has been reported by the Head of the Library 2 months ago, and I am ready to assist in the process from now until later. The point is, for any results and any notes later, I am ready to commit to working together to the fullest, "explained Dr. Drs Antar Venus, Chancellor of UPNVJ in his remarks.
Drs. supriyanto, M.Si Accreditation Assessor from the National Library of Indonesia expressed his gratitude for the commitment made by the Chancellor of UPNVJ and his staff to develop the Library.
"I am grateful for the opportunity and this activity is a mandate from the law where we are asked to guide and assist the development of libraries in Indonesia with existing educational standards," said Supriyanto.
"In accordance with library standards, we make library standards, accreditation, certification and library training. Of course we express our gratitude and appreciation to the Chancellor of UPNVJ for having committed to developing the library in the future, because preparation for this accreditation can take 6 months to 1 year in the future because there are quite a lot of standards for library development," he explained.
Supriyanto also hopes that with the many existing regulations, PTN libraries can develop. "I hope that all stakeholders will move towards achieving and increasing the public's interest in reading and literacy towards the UPNVJ Library," he added.
After the presentation regarding UPNVJ and the UPNVJ Library, the agenda was continued with a direct visit to the UPNVJ Library Building.
