Public Relations UPNVJ - Another encouraging news comes from the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) Contingent, which succeeded in winning 2nd place in the Men's Team Emergency First Aid competition in the National Jamboree for National Defense Students organized by LP3M UPN Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY).
A total of 255 students and 22 companions from 20 universities in Indonesia attended the 2023 National Student Jamboree for National Defense at UPNYK from September 29 to October 1.
Twelve UPNVJ student representatives consisting of the UPNVJ nature-loving student community, Student Regiment, and Student Representatives succeeded in making UPNVJ proud at the national level event.
Raihana Qonita Zalnie, one of the student representatives from the Faculty of Computer Science, Information Systems study program, briefly explained the process until she was finally able to take part in the event.
"We, the MAPALA community, received information from AKPK Student Affairs that there was a national national defense jamboree at UPNVY. In the jamboree there were several competitions, one of which was Rapling, and we were asked to send a team to compete there, it turned out that the competition was not just rapling, there were PBB, rope "temali, PPGD, and batik, that's why we joined the Student Regiment and took the initiative to look for the lack of team members from student representatives," he said.
Even though it was her first experience, Raihana, who is familiarly called Hana, and her friends managed to bring home the trophy in this prestigious event.
"Honestly, I was a bit surprised to win second place, because of the limitations of the existing teams and different backgrounds, but we were able to take home the trophy in the Emergency First Aid competition," he said.
Hana also did not forget to express her hope of being able to contribute to making UPNVJ's good name, both on the national and international stage.
"The hope for UPN friends is that if there is a competition like this, they can take part first. There's no need to think about whether they can or not. I also hope that the UPNVJ campus can create similar activities," said Hana.
Andre Ginting, another student who took part in the jamboree, hopes that in the future more UPNVJ students will be involved in national level competitions. "In order to further grow the potential and talent of students who can make the name of UPN Veteran Jakarta proud," said Andre.
