UPNVJ Proud! Still early in the year, UKM PSVJ has won 27 medals in international events

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Continuing to excel on the international stage, Pencak Silat Veteran Jakarta has once again made great achievements. The UKM PSVJ contingent managed to get 27 medals consisting of 12 gold, 11 bronze, 4 silver at the XII International Paku Bumi Open Indonesian Pencak Silat Championship which was held on 29 February - 2 March 2024 at the Bandung Bedaz Indoor Stadium, Jalak Harupat, West Java.

Hauratunnasywa Vernanda Putri, S1 Communication Science, was one of the participants who won more than two medals, namely the Adult Women's Team Gold Medal, the Empty Hand Women's Singles Silver Medal and the Weapons Women's Singles Silver Medal.

Hauratunnasywa Vernanda Putri was met in an online interview with UPNVJ public relations and said that the achievements she obtained in this championship was a new challenge because this was an international level activity, "I am excited to take part in this activity because the title of this championship is international which of course will be new challenge for me to develop. "Because it's an international event, of course I prepare a lot of things, including mental and physical as the main foundation before competing, apart from that, I also train every day for this match," said Nana, her nickname to the PR team.

"Because it is an international event, the ups and downs are of course varied. What I like is being able to get closer to other PSVJ kids, being able to support each other from training to match day, and if we talk about sadness, maybe it's more "The journey I have to take from home to campus is quite far so it takes quite a lot of time so I feel quite tired during practice, but that is not an obstacle to continuing to be enthusiastic about giving the best in this event," said Nana further.

Nana, representing the PSVJ team, also gave a message to all her fellow PSVJ UKM and other UPNVJ UKM to always be enthusiastic to continue to make proud achievements for her beloved alma mater.
