UPNVJ Wins Second Best IKU in the PTN-BLU Kemendikbudristek League

Public Relations UPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) as a new State University (PTN) with Public Service Agency (BLU) status won the 2023 Main Performance Index (IKU) award from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

UPNVJ is in 2nd place in the BLU PTN League award out of 30 PTNs with achievement points of 69.58.

"This is the second year we have received the IKU award. Last year we ranked 8th, now we are ranked 2nd where we are competing with senior PTNs that are ahead of us," UPNVJ Chancellor Anter Venus said.

"This is an extraordinary achievement for us. Of the 30 PTNs that are counted as new PTNs, it is estimated that there are only 4 of them. The rest are PTNs that have been around for decades, so we are lucky to be in second place," he added.

Venus also said that one of the factors in IKU's achievements was that the 10 study programs at UPNVJ were internationally accredited.

"We also excel at internationalization, where our 10 internationally accredited study programs are one of the success factors in achieving this IKU," explained Venus.

IKU is the main standard for the Ministry of Education and Culture for assessing the performance of a PTN. IKU assesses eight important indicators in PTN management:

IKU 1: Graduates Get Decent Jobs
IKU 2: Students Gain Experience Outside Campus
IKU 3: Lecturers with Off-Campus Activities
IKU 4: Teaching Practitioners on Campus
IKU 5: Lecturers' work results are used by the community or receive international recognition
IKU 6: Study Program in Collaboration with World Class Partners
IKU 7: Collaborative and Participatory Class
IKU 8: International Standard Study Program

"UPNVJ indeed has a shared commitment to carry out transformation to achieve excellence which is also the current motto. We have concern and attention for IKU, because IKU represents how PTN is managed and is committed to implementing education policies determined by the government," said Venus.

The Chancellor of UPNVJ also explained the form of attention to IKU by carrying out routine monitoring and special attention to IKU that is deemed not to have met targets.

"Every month we hold meetings to determine which indicators need to be paid attention to. We set targets so they can be monitored. We try to always prepare ourselves for documents and so on so that if data is needed we just send the data," explained Venus.

"We also don't forget to give appreciation to anyone who can achieve maximum performance targets. We pay attention to that," he added.

On this occasion, Venus also advised all stakeholders, both internal and external, to maintain solidarity both in work and in working together to achieve achievements.

"This achievement is a joint result. This is the achievement of the entire UPNVJ academic community, and thank God we are united in executing everything. All targets have been met, so we must maintain this spirit of togetherness," said Venus.

"I thank you for the cooperation of all parties. This is a reflection for us that we are capable even though we are still considered a new PTN. We are able to compete to be the best. Keep up the enthusiasm," he concluded.
