UPNVJ Becomes Host of PKP2 2024 Belmawa Ristekdikti

Public Relations UPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) hosted the 2024 Indonesian Student Creativity Program Implementation Progress Assessment (PKP2 – PKM) held by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) on Sunday, July 21 2024.

The Student Creative Program (PKM) is an effort to guide students to become rule-abiding, creative and innovative individuals as well as cooperative objectives in building intellectual diversity, as well as providing opportunities for students to channel their creativity and innovation.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Ria Maria Theresia said that UPNVJ has required students to take part in the PKM program, and this has also been made a mandatory requirement for submitting a thesis.

"UPNVJ has made PKM mandatory for all students so that when they first enter we introduce it, and everyone is required to make a proposal according to their interests. This is also mandatory before they submit their thesis," explained Ria in her speech at the UPNVJ Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium.

"This is done with the aim of making students aware of whatever is happening around them, and whatever opportunities they can take to support their creativity."

"Not only do they understand academics, students can also understand problems in society and provide solutions, so they can also develop soft skills on how to communicate and collaborate with society," he added.

In his report, PKM Chairman Belmawa Sukino, S.Pd. MAP said that PKM 2024 funding involved 459 state and private universities throughout Indonesia, with 3,520 proposals funded. Meanwhile, the number of students taking part reached 15,633.

"In the next 10 days, the reviewers will assess whatever has been achieved during the activity. Not only that, students are also asked to report the use of the budget provided. Of course with this we need the help of the committee and reviewers, where UPNVJ is willing to be the host home this year," said Sukino.

"This agenda is a series of PKM, where students are required to submit reports on the assistance provided. In the assessment later, students will convey all the progress regarding what they have done, and the achievements they have achieved during the process," he continued.

Sukino also said that later Belmawa Ristekdikti would give awards to universities, accompanying lecturers and students in accordance with all the criteria previously determined in the guidelines.
