PKMM Day Two Discuss Organizational Management Skills and Anti-Hoax

HumasUPNVJ - As a step to improve student skills in developing personality, skills and attitudes of students in supporting teaching and learning activities to achieve educational goals. UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) again held online Student Management Skills Training (PKMM), on Sunday (13/03/22).

Dr. Acim Heri Iswanto, SKM, MARS, lecturer at the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences as the opening speaker discussed organizational culture and management which emphasized the goals of the organization and the meaning of the organization.

In his discussion he said that whatever is done must have meaning, and meaning in the organization must be aligned with what the members want to do.

"In an organization, there are members who have a common goal to be able to execute work together by prioritizing their code of ethics," said Acim.

Discussions were carried out interactively by resource persons so that participants could submit questions and opinions directly to the resource persons

In addition, in this activity, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ who is the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation also provided an explanation of the 2022 student work program policies and Certificate of Companion of Diplomas (SKPI).

In this case dr. Ria explained about the various policies and several stages carried out by student organizations to report anything related to performance and achievement results so that all activities can be recorded in the individual student system

Not only internal sources, this activity also invited other speakers, namely Agung Marheinis Setyadi who is the Head of Content from Bro Digital Solutions who discusses critical thinking to fight hoaxes.

"There are many hoaxes that we have to be aware of and there are many motives in them, including money, politics, hatred, ideology, and finally just fad. We need to anticipate from the start because there are more and more hoax motives," Agung explained

"Critical thinking is thinking clearly and intelligently, thinking slowly based on logic and data to minimize bias, the ability to make reasonable and intelligent decisions," he said

Agung also added that the benefits of critical thinking are that we become more minded, not easily manipulated, reduce misperceptions, identify the root of the problem, understand the risks of our decisions and become a problem solver.

Before PKMM 2022 was closed, the participants received explanations from two other speakers from Drs. Sarlan, MH Coordinator for Academic and Student Affairs and Suharyati, SE, MM who is Plt. UPNVJ General Affairs and Finance Bureau Head.
