UPNVJ Vaccination Center: There Are Still Many Residents Who Need Vaccines

HumasUPNVJ – The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has now turned into endemic. The government has also revoked the PPKM regulations some time ago. Even so, the need for vaccination in the community is still quite high.

This was indicated by the fact that the vaccination quota was sold out at the UPNVJ Vaccination Center which was held on Friday (03/02) at the Pondok Labu UPNVJ Campus. Information disseminated by the campus through public relations to the wider community managed to bring 300 people to be vaccinated today.

Based on the information obtained from the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA.Comm The range of information regarding vaccination at UPNVJ reaches up to 60 km away. The community's enthusiasm was beyond the expectations of the UPNVJ which initially only targeted participants from the campus area and its surroundings.

In the middle of the vaccine queue, the Public Relations team tried to interview some of the vaccination participants. First found Muhammad Isa, a middle-aged man. Isa admits that so far he has not been informed about vaccination problems around where he lives. Incidentally, his son is a student at UPNVJ so Isa knows that UPNVJ is holding a vaccine activity. “… I like that for sure, sis. Because the vaccine info here is clear, so I'm here for the vaccine. This makes it easier for people to take care of health issues.” Isa said he appreciated the implementation of the vaccination program at UPNVJ.

The large number of participants who are ready to be vaccinated today also shows that there are still many people out there who have not been vaccinated and still need vaccinations. "This activity is quite good because many booster vaccines are still rare and hard to get at this time. So many people come to UPNVJ.” Said Salana Fisa, a bachelor of Informatics study program student who was successfully interviewed by the UPNVJ Public Relations team. Salana was one of the vaccination participants who came to get the first booster dose.

In addition there is also Haryono, an elderly who lives in Cilobak 2, Pangkalan Jati. Haryono admitted that he knew information about the vaccine program at UPNVJ from his grandson who was studying at UPNVJ.

Haryono felt very helped by the holding of this program. His no longer young age makes it difficult for him to come to other vaccination centers that are far from where he lives. Knowing that there was a vaccination center at UPNVJ, Haryono took advantage of this opportunity to get the 2nd booster dose.

Both Isa, Salana, and Haryono both hope that UPNVJ will remain consistent in holding similar programs so that they can help UPNVJ residents and their surroundings to meet their health-related needs.
