LPPM Holds Webinar Regarding the Importance of Science Communication for Academics

HumasUPNVJ - Institute for Research and Community Service UPN Veteran Jakarta is holding a webinar discussing academic writing in popular media with the theme, "Why is Science Communication Important for Academics?", Thursday 20 May 2021 which will be held online and open to the public.

This webinar presents Dr. Jemma Purdey ( Monash University ) , Jerry Indrawan (UPNVJ) and Fito Rahdianto ( The Conversation ) and moderated by Lukman Waluyo and attended by approximately 100 participants.

Anter Venus as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs was also present to give his remarks, "Today's webinar theme is very interesting because it will definitely increase knowledge for the public and is also appropriate for academics. Increasing economic capacity, improving people's welfare, overcoming Covid-19 and other activities are all scientifically based. So ladies and gentlemen present, when we talk about science communication, the most important target is society. The point is this is a very strategic discussion. Hopefully it can always be improved ". Venus said
