Public Relations UPNVJ - Chancellor of UPN Veteran Jakarta, Anter Venus was a resource person in the State Defense Seminar held by UPNVJ in collaboration with the Defense University (UNHAN), UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta, UPN 'Veteran' East Java, and the State Intelligence College (STIN) .

Venus said that the State needs to be defended, "The State needs to be defended for two reasons, the first is a philosophical/basic reason: The State is a collective idea and a great agreement based on a sense of destiny and struggle, the State is socially constructed whose existence depends on shared perception ( shared reality ) , Nation is the community of strangers and the state is a living space that allows citizens to be independent. Then the factual reasons are: The state was built based on shared values, there are always parties who think and have different interests who threaten the state, the state must be able to guarantee people's lives, the state must be able to carry out its functions effectively, the state must be above all existing organizations/groups, The state must fulfill its functions and missions, the greatness and beauty of the state. "The country was founded on struggle and sacrifice," said Venus

"Defending the country can be equated with patriotism which in English is defined as loyalty ( Patriotism which means "devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty ). "In short, defending the country is an act of citizen patriotism in defending and developing the existence and sustainability of the country," he continued

Defending the State in the context of a military perspective, namely oriented towards the ability to defend oneself physically from attacks/aggressions from other nations. Meanwhile, National Defense in the context of a non-military perspective is oriented towards cultivating mental attitudes and actions to defend and advance the nation in various fields through non-military resources.
