Public Relations UPNVJ - Tuesday, December 19 2023, as a campus with the identity of National Defense, UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) once again commemorated National Defense Day with a ceremony and listened to the presidential address read directly by the Chancellor of UPNVJ in the Pondok Labu Campus Ceremonial Field.

Carrying the theme of Activating National Defense for an Advanced Indonesia, the UPNVJ chancellor as the ceremony supervisor read out the message from the president of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).

“The challenges ahead are increasingly unpredictable. We not only face physical threats, but also invisible threats. "Pandemics, global conflicts, technological revolutions, and even the climate crisis have had impacts and risks to the country's resilience," said Anter Venus in his speech as the ceremony supervisor.

In his address, the President of the Republic of Indonesia also said that we must have the spirit of National Defense as the main pillar that makes us tough and intelligent in facing uncertain situations. The spirit of National Defense is not only the responsibility of the defense apparatus, but also requires the active participation of all elements of society. This is our common task in maintaining the unity and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Defending the State in Indonesia is not only related to the military aspect but must be broader, embracing all levels of society in everyday life. Every action, no matter how small, that is based on love for the nation and state, love for Pancasila and the Republic of Indonesia is a concrete form of National Defense.

On the 75th Commemoration of National Defense Day in 2023, the president invites the Indonesian people to rekindle the spirit of National Defense and increase the feeling of love for the country.
