On Wednesday, January 24 2024, the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK), National Development University (UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta held the launch of the implementation of the integrity zone. The event took place at the RA Suite Hotel Jakarta, and was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry BH Sitorus, Chairman of LP3M UPNVJ Pak Satria, and Leaders of FIK UPNVJ as well as FIK lecturers. Apart from internal UPNVJ, there were also cooperation partners from PT. Saras, who has been committed to implementing the independent MBKM internship. The launching agenda is complemented by the leadership's commitment to implementing ZI through signing a joint commitment.
In his speech, the Dean of FIK UPNVJ, Prof. Supriyanto said that the implementation of ZI at FIK UPNVJ had started in 2021. At that time, only FIK had implemented ZI, so the chancellor assigned FIK to be the leader in implementing ZI at UPNVJ, until all faculties at UPNVJ implemented ZI. In 2023, the commitment to implement ZI has resonated in all faculties at UPNVJ. As the leader of ZI implementation, FIK has received a certificate of recognition for ZI development in 2023, and is eligible to be submitted for recognition to the Ministry of PAN RB.
He added that the Ministry of PAN and RB has not yet been able to provide recognition in 2024, but the commitment to implementing ZI must continue to be encouraged. For this reason, the FIK leadership, witnessed by WR1 and the Chair of LP3M, re-launched the commitment to implement ZI in early 2024, with the hope that the process of change and improvement will continue within the FIK UPNVJ environment. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs expressed his appreciation for FIK's commitment to implementing ZI, and has been able to encourage other faculties to implement ZI. He also expressed his support by signing the integrity pact.
At the end of the event the leaders and lecturers of FIK UPNVJ expressed their joint commitment through the slogans FIK Agent of Change, FIK with Integrity, FIK Serving. Hopefully, the commitment to be better will be internalized in all lecturers and education staff so that they can provide excellent service to all stakeholders, especially students.
