HumasUPNVJ - The impact of the outbreak of the covid 19 virus is being felt in our lives today. Various rules were made by the government to prevent the spread of the virus from becoming more widespread, one of which is by staying at home. Finally, many companies and government, private and educational institutions have given employees and students the day off to stay at home.

This is the case with UPN Veteran Jakarta, after implementing distance learning starting March 17 2020 until now, students must remain at home or in their respective boarding houses. Two weeks have passed, it turns out that there are many complaints that students feel in undergoing distance learning, especially for students who live in boarding houses on campus and cannot go home because several areas have imposed a lockdown, with enough money and far from their parents they have to survive alone in their respective dorms

Based on the complaints received, the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation Ria Maria Theresa in collaboration with the Girigahana Student Activity Unit (UKM) UPN Veteran Jakarta immediately distributed food to students who were still living in boarding houses around the campus environment.

From the report submitted by Diyas Mellya Octaviani, member of Girigahana from the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences, there were 15 students who would be distributed food, after confirmation that 3 students had returned home, so there were 12 students who still lived in the boarding house and could distribute food.

"Friday (27/03/20) after we received the student data, we immediately confirmed the students and 3 students had gone home and 12 students were still living in the boarding house. So we immediately distributed the food to the 12 students who are still living in the boarding house," explained Diyas in his report with the UPNVJ public relations team.

The food distribution was carried out on Saturday (28/03/20) involving 4 members of UKM Girihana. Students who receive assistance feel that the campus is paying enough attention to this activity, they hope that this can spread to all students who cannot go home and gather with their families.
