DPD RI Holds FGD Regarding Guidelines for Supervisory Functions in UPNVJ

Public Relations UPNVJ - The Deliberation Committee of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia held a Focus Group Discussion activity regarding the preparation of General Guidelines for the Implementation of Supervision of the DPD RI as a Replacement for DPD Regulation Number 6 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Supervision of the DPD RI.

In collaboration with the Law Faculty of the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University, FGD activities were held at the Bhineka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th floor, UPNVJ Rectorate Building on Thursday, November 16 2023.

UPNVJ Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, ST, MT gave a welcoming speech at the beginning of the event, and then it was officially opened by the Coordinator of the DPD RI Program Team and Work Mechanism, Mr. Ir. H. Darmansyah Husein. The activity was also attended by several representatives of the DPD RI, the rectorate, and lecturers and students from the UPNVJ Law Faculty.

The FGD included the delivery of material by two resource persons who were academics, namely Dr. Ahmad Ahsin Tohari (Lecturer at FH UPN Jakarta) and Prof. Djohermansyah Djohan, MA (Practitioner/Academic).

The speakers focused the material on explaining the implementation of the DPD RI's functions in the form of supervision over the implementation of laws, accountability for state finances, and the implementation of laws by regional governments. The concept of work dimensions in implementing the functions of the DPD RI was also discussed in the FGD.

The entire event aims to obtain input and a more comprehensive view regarding the supervisory function of the DPD RI. It is also hoped that this activity can clarify the position of the DPD RI as a state institution that has a role in voicing the aspirations of diverse regional communities.
