Rocky Gerung: "Logic" is Mandatory for 21st Century Students

HumasUPNVJ - The 21st century was marked by the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Logic competence in the 21st century is the main competency that students must have in order to be able to take part in real life. The application of logic-based lectures is also needed to aim at growing academic character which is measurable in behavior for critical thinking and honest thinking of students in the 21st century.

After providing debriefing for UPNVJ lecturers, Rocky Gerung briefly explained how important "logic" is at this time to the UPNVJ Public Relations team. (25/6).

“Logic has been important since the first century actually. It's not just the 21st century because science always needs an opponent. So logic activates opposites of thought, so we say something is logical if it doesn't contradict itself in propositions, in assumptions. But in most universities, whether it's thesis, theses and dissertations, the contents are contradictions, not because the contradictions are activated, but because the falsehoods are not examined. So the function of logic is a detective faulty argument. Obviously one of these Indonesian philosophers

"I consider UPN Veteran Jakarta to be a State Defense university, which means it also defends the country's constitution. Our constitution says "Intelligent Life of the Nation". . I still think that campus is a source of exchange of ideas. Thoughts are only called thoughts if they can be argued about, so I say, I think if someone is challenging my thoughts and I forbid that person from suing my thoughts, that means I am not thinking but praying Logic has the function of disrupting truths that are considered final and questioning the assumptions of knowledge.” he continued

At the end of his interview, Rocky took the time to give encouragement to UPNVJ students and prospective 2020 new students who will enter the world of lectures.
