HumasUPNVJ - Discussing the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM), within the UPN Veteran Jakarta environment, the implementation of MBKM has been very well realized and continues to be improved. One of the efforts to continue to support MBKM, UPNVJ created a program namely Latsarmir Komcad. The preparatory activities for this program were carried out at the Sheraton Hotel Jakarta which was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Heads of Campus and other support teams while still implementing strict health protocols. Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Anter Venus explained to the Public Relations Team the background and reasons for creating this program, "I think, the Indonesian nation is currently in a dangerous position, in the sense that a lot of our society has been contaminated with new ideologies, ideas that emerge to the surface that may later undermine the integrity of our nation, the resilience of our country. In this way, it is necessary to develop a new national consciousness for all people. And judging by the responsibility of the Ministry of Defence, it is the Ministry of Defense that is responsible for formulating a strategy that builds nationalist values among all Indonesian people, one of which is in universities. Therefore, UPN as a state defense campus has the foremost obligation to organize education related to efforts to defend and maintain national resilience, as well as this new program, the Reserve Commission Military Basic Training (Latsarmil Komcad) is a form of support these efforts.” Venus said
"UPNVJ as a state defense campus will make the design or framework for this program, in accordance with the implementation of the Merdeka Learn Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum, so later we will also provide lecture materials outside of the training (the plan is to arrange it into 20 credits). This activity will be attended by three UPN students (UPN Veteran Jakarta - UPN Veteran East Java - UPN Veteran Yogyakarta) semester 3-5, we are targeting that each study program will send 25 to 50 students. The most important mission of this program is to build nationalism”. he continued
"To ensure this program runs, we need clear guidelines, then a special promotion strategy related to this program to persuade the public, especially UPN students by collaborating with academics and student affairs from the campus itself which will later be inaugurated directly by the Director General of Higher Education." At the end of the interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team, Venus hoped that the participating students would later become Agents of Change.
