KPI and UPNVJ Hold Research Workshop

HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) is involved in the 2021 Television Broadcast Program Quality Index Research Activities organized by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). This activity began with the implementation of a workshop held at the Aston Priority Simatupang Hotel (13/4). In carrying out this research, KPI has collaborated with UPNVJ since 2018.

Being one of the resource persons, the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Erna Hernawati Ak, CPMA, CA said that UPNVJ is committed to making research improvements, based on experience in previous years with KPI and also fully supported by UPNVJ leaders. "This year the dissemination of research results will be carried out through an international conference," added Erna.

"KPI always reminds the creative team regarding the limitations of soap opera broadcasting so that the quality is in accordance with the rules of society. If there is a violation, the KPI will give a warning. The analysis of the informants helps KPI to map television broadcast programs," said Central KPI Chairman Agung Suprio.

Agung's next explanation gave an example of a soap opera showing the story of a popular novel about marriage "What is prohibited in P3SPS is in Article 13 personal ugliness, divorce is not permitted, and negative things that can damage the reputation of the object" said Agung.

Agung further explained that negative broadcasts are allowed if they contain elements related to misuse of state finances or budget and certain criminal acts.

In carrying out these activities, the Chancellor of UPNVJ signed an MoU between UPNVJ and KPI.
