Improving Academic Integrity, UPNVJ Holds Socialization of Lecturer Code of Ethics

HumasUPNVJ – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta ( UPNVJ ) held a socialization of the lecturer code of ethics attended by all teaching staff. The event, which took place via the zoom platform ( online ), aims to improve understanding and compliance with ethical standards that apply in the academic environment. (17/9)

Welcome Speech by Anter Venus, Chancellor of UPNVJ

This socialization was opened directly by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Anter Venus, who emphasized the importance of the code of ethics as a foundation in carrying out the profession as a lecturer. In his speech, Anter Venus stated, "The code of ethics is not just a guideline, but is our commitment to academic integrity and professionalism. Through this socialization, we hope that all lecturers can better understand and implement ethical principles in every aspect of their work, as lecturers," he explained.

This socialization presented an internal resource person, Dr. Henry Binsarr, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who explained various aspects of the lecturer code of ethics and academic integrity, including explaining the POB for handling violations of the lecturer code of ethics and the POB for handling violations of academic integrity.

In addition, Prof. Netty Herawati, Vice Rector for Planning, Finance and General Affairs of UPNVJ was also present. Prof. Netty explained the general presentation related to the rules and findings.

During the Q&A session, many lecturers enthusiastically asked about the application of the code of ethics in specific contexts, such as student assessment and conflicts of interest. The discussion aimed to provide clarification and practical solutions to challenges that lecturers may face in carrying out their daily duties.

With this socialization, UPNVJ is committed to maintaining the quality of education and the responsibility of teaching staff on campus.
