UPNVJ Explores Collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang AL-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA)

UPNVJ Public Relations - The UPNVJ International Affairs Office held a welcoming discussion with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) on Monday, 23 September 2024. This activity was attended by the UMPSA delegation led by the Chairman of UMPSA, Mr. YBhg. Dato' Seri Abdul Razak bin Jaafar, as well as various academic officials from both institutions.

This discussion aims to discuss cooperation plans in the fields of education and research as a strategic step for UPNVJ in strengthening international cooperation. The activity was held offline in the Meeting Room of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP3M), 4th Floor of the Rectorate Building.

The main discussion in this discussion was related to the opportunities for collaboration between UPNVJ and UMPSA, especially emphasizing the importance of the existing student exchange program and the hope of increasing student participation in the program, considering the cultural and geographical similarities between Indonesia and Malaysia.

In addition, the Dean of Faculty of Science UMPSA, Ms. Associate Prof. Dr. Aizi Nor Mazila Binti Ramli also proposed that the Operator Safety Certification (OSC) program can be implemented at UPNVJ. She also explained that UMPSA is exploring the potential for academic collaboration in various forms.

Further discussions regarding several planned cooperation programs such as joint degree programs, PhD, community service, seminars, joint research and other academic cooperation will be conducted to be more focused.

In addition, the Head of KUI UPNVJ emphasized the need for more detailed design for mobility and seminar programs, taking into account the desired form of implementation, both online and offline, as well as the duration of the program period.

It is hoped that with this collaboration, UPNVJ and UMPSA will bring various significant benefits, including improving the quality of education through the exchange of best practices and teaching methods, as well as developing student mobility that allows them to study in different environments and broaden their horizons.

This collaboration also opens up opportunities for joint research that can result in innovation, while helping students develop soft skills through community activities.

By designing relevant curricula and collaborating on study programs, it is hoped that both institutions can better meet the needs of the global market, thereby making a positive contribution to the development of the academic community at large.
