UPNVJ Strengthens International Collaboration Through Panukiduki 6.0 Conference

 

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) is proud to announce the successful holding of a conference entitled “Panukiduki 6.0: International Multidisciplinary Research Conference” on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

The event was held in a hybrid format, and was attended by more than 700 participants, including students and lecturers from various educational institutions in the Philippines as well as delegates from Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC).

The conference was opened with remarks from the Head of KUI UPNVJ, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration in educational development.

CMC Chancellor, Dr. Cynthia S. Asuncion, also gave a speech on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the college curriculum and its relevance in facing new challenges and opportunities.

In the first session, Dr. Felix C. Chavez Jr. discussed “Ethical Implications of Using Generative AI in Research,” which revealed the importance of ethics in the use of AI and potential risks such as plagiarism. This session was followed by a presentation by the Chair of the Informatics Department, Dr. Widya Cholil, MIT, on “The Power of AI Technology,” which illustrated the significant impact of AI in academia.

The activity concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UPNVJ and Central Mindanao Colleges, which marked an important step in strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.

“This conference is not only a forum for academics to share research, but also strengthens the relationship between UPNVJ and CMC,” said the Head of KUI UPNVJ.

"We hope that this collaboration can provide significant benefits in the development of education and research in both institutions," he continued.

Through this activity, UPNVJ is committed to continuing to expand the scope and improve the quality of education through strategic international collaboration, as well as making AI one of the main focuses in curriculum development and research.
