Daring to Get Out of the Comfort Zone, Najla Nur Dzakiyyah Successfully Wins the Mahardika Star

HumasUPNVJ - Quoting the words of the famous scientist Albert Einstein, namely "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think," Najla Nur Dzakiyyah said that education is not just about memorizing theories and pursuing academic grades.

For Najla, the education phase is the right time to continue growing, both in academic and non-academic fields.

"This phase demands us to think more broadly and dare to step out of our comfort zone," said Najla, one of the winners of the Mahardika Work Award at the 73rd Graduation of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ).

Since entering college, Najla, who is a D3 Banking and Finance student at UPNVJ, has tried to continue to be involved in competitions and other challenging activities, both at national and international levels.

Najla first participated in a competition in the second semester, namely the National Chatbot Learning and Competition, held by UI Vocational. In this competition, she and her team managed to reach the Top 9 Teams.

Achievements in Design

Although studying banking, Najla admitted to having an interest in everything related to design. She admitted to being disappointed because she was not accepted into a design organization.

"I was determined that I could successfully hone my skills without that organization. So while studying at UPNVJ, the competitions that I focused on were posters and infographics," said Najla.

Entering the third semester, Najla started participating in design competitions. She participated in the 2022 Poster Competition Fun Contest held by LKI FK UB and won 1st place. In the same month, Najla and her team participated in a competition held by FEB UPNVJ, namely ECOFEST UPNVJ 2022 in the Infographics - Halal Industry category, and won 3rd place.

Then in June 2023 I participated in the Idul Adha Creative Competition in the infographic poster category held by PR IPNU - IPPNU Gununganyar Surabaya, thank God I won 1st place. In the following month I participated in the FESTMUS 2023 Competition in the poster category held by LDK USWAH UPNVJ, the announcement of this competition was held offline at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine UPNVJ. Alhamdulillah in this competition I managed to win 1st place.

In August 2023, Najla and her team participated in the Economic Competition Festival which is an international competition. Najla and her team won 1st place in the Economic Infographic Competition Category Halal Industry.

"This is one of the memorable competitive achievements during my studies at UPNVJ, namely having the opportunity to take part in an international competition," said Najla.

Final Project and Competition

This year, Najla 24 who is in her 6th semester is busy with internships and her final assignment. However, this condition did not stop Najla from participating in the competition. According to her, participating in the competition is a mechanism for her to 'refresh' herself when she is bored with her final assignment.

In between working on her Final Assignment, Najla managed to win 3rd place in the 2024 Ramadhan Study Digital Poster Competition and 1st place in the 1445 H Islamic National Competition Ramadhan Fest in the poster category.

After that, Najla decided to take a break to finish her Final Assignment and the trial. "After the trial and revision, Najla participated in the competition again, namely Fiction 3.0 held by BEM BTH Universitas Tasikmalaya, and she managed to win 3rd place."

"In addition to participating in various competitions, there are organizations that support me to get out of my comfort zone, namely Rohis FEB Al Jihad and UKM LDK Uswah," said Najla.

"Alhamdulillah, during my time in the organization here, I can fill my time more usefully, improve my understanding of religion, and there are friends who always support the good things that I am doing," he continued.

Najla said that the lectures and competitions she has participated in so far are a form of hard work that has been undertaken over the past three years.

"All of this is also thanks to the support of people who have supported me so far. Thank you to my family, friends, and the extended UPNVJ family who have supported me until now," Najla concluded.
