Four UPNVJ Study Programs Undergo ASIIN International Accreditation

HumasuPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta ( UPNVJ ) received a team of assessors from the German institution ASIIN on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. ASIIN is an international accreditation institution for the fields of Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The arrival of the ASIIN assessor team aims to conduct international accreditation of four UPNVJ study programs, namely the Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing and Nursing Profession Study Programs. The accreditation process will last for two days on November 27-28, 2024.

Warmly welcoming the arrival of the six ASIIIN assessors, UPNVJ Rector Anter Venus called the international accreditation process a “very important historical event.”

"The arrival of ASIIN assessors is an important part of UPNVJ's internationalization journey," said Venus.

The Chancellor opened his presentation by telling a brief history of the establishment of UPNVJ, starting from the establishment of PTPN in Yogyakarta in late 1958 to the determination of UPNVJ's status as a state university in 2014.

Venus also said that UPNVJ continues to build various supporting facilities to ensure that student learning activities run optimally. For 2025, UPNVJ plans to build an Integrated Nutrition Laboratory that can facilitate educational and research activities.

Also conveyed was the vision of UPNVJ's transformation to become a university with a high ranking on the global stage by 2045.

Regarding the arrival of the assessor team this time, Venus is optimistic that the accreditation from ASIIN is believed to be able to further improve UPNVJ's ranking at the national and international levels.

"International accreditation is one of our targets. UPNVJ is committed to ensuring that all study programs will be internationally accredited for the next few years, until 2028," said Venus.
