Public Relations Team – The spread of Corona virus (Covid-19) cases were monitored increasing. People who have returned to their daily activities are getting worried with positive cases that increased every day.
Particularly in educational field, some people felt uneasy because it had been told that some employees of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) had been diagnosed positive for Covid-19, even the Ministry of Education and Culture main building on Jalan Sudirman had to have this temporary lockdown.
Citing the Indonesian CNN website that the number of positive patients infected with Covid-19 in Indonesia jumped out dramatically on Thursday (9/7). An additional 2,657 positive cases of corona virus occurred. This number is the highest of new daily positive cases since it was first announced on March 2nd. Government Spokesperson for Covid-19 Handling, Achmad Yurianto said the addition of positive cases made the cumulative number of cases to 70,736 people.
With this case, UPN Veteran Jakarta, which until today, Friday, 10th July 2020, is still conducted UTBK (Computer Based Writing Exams) and strengthen the health protocol.
In this case, Sugeng Siswanto, Head of the General and Financial Bureau of UPNVJ, admitted that he was feel a bit uneasy with the increased of new Covid-19 cases every day.
"We are indeed maximizing UTBK with the health protocol because the safety and security of UTBK participants in the university environment is our responsibility," Sugeng statement when interviewed by the public relations team.
Sugeng said, "We are maximizing this protocol and we prioritize it because we all hope that the UTBK agenda will not become a new cluster of Covid-19 outspread ".
"We maintain everything, setting the queue distance, the distance of the computer (one to another), difference get in and get out participants flow, and parking location for the parents who escorted their son/daughter, We do provide them by collaborating with the Balitbang building which is located in front of the UPNVJ Pondok Labu, which had a wider area" explained Sugeng.
Regarding the increasing number of Corona Virus spreads in DKI Jakarta, Sugeng admitted that he had his own worries, in addition the university is currently accepting a number of UTBK participants every day.
"Currently the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing, where we also have to maintain our health and safety of UTBK staffs and participants. According an information that I got, 15 workers of Ministry of Education and Culture are diagnosed with positive of Covid-19, with the current condition in the close time we will immediately hold a rapid test for all UPNVJ employees. Right now we are calculating for the budget because the costs are quite high with 600 employees and it is likely that we will do it in gradually, "Sugeng said.
