The Chancellor of UPNVJ Participates in the Signing of the MoU with Indonesian Women Chancellors

HumasUPNVJ - The Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta participated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indonesian Women Chancellors in the Commemoration of Kartini Day on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

The Indonesian Cultural Arts Institute (ISBI) Bandung as the main initiator of holding the event collaborated with 11 tertiary institutions namely Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Padjadjaran University, National Institute of Technology, Singaperbangsa Karawang University, UPN Veterans Jakarta, Jakarta Art Institute, University Sam Ratulangi, Manado State University, Udayana University and Hasanuddin University.

According to the PikiranRakyat.com page, the MoU signing ceremony was carried out offline and online. For Raden Fatah Palembang State Islamic University, the signing was carried out offline, while 10 other tertiary institutions were carried out online.

The scope of this Joint Agreement includes activities related to: Implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education, Free Learning Program - Independent Campus, Improvement of Human Resources, Governance, Development in the Field of Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality and other activities that are mutually agreed upon.

ISBI Bandung has conducted many studies on women and carried out various activities to increase women's empowerment.

On this occasion also the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta, Erna Hernawati, had the opportunity to read Kartini's letters which were the fruit of thought for women's emancipation in Indonesia that were sent by Kartini to her friends in the Netherlands.

With this idea, it is expected to develop art knowledge which is considered important with various disciplines.
