HumasUPNVJ - The Student Study Group (KSM) of the Veteran Education Research and Science Association (VERSA) Faculty of Medicine, UPN Veterans Jakarta, has again made achievements that make the university proud. Sakhia Syahda Asmara and Elmiraz Takbirani won 1st place in the 2021 Medical Djogja Scientific Competition (MEDJONSON) Scientific Essay competition held by the Medical Research and Science Club (MARS) Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) with the title Computerized Program Potential Internet-Based Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CCRT) as a Cognitive Improvement Therapy for Schizophrenia. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation will be carried out online on May 19, 20, 23 and 25, 2021.
This activity was attended by students of medical faculties in all public and private universities on a national scale. In addition, this competition was attended by 10 teams that had been selected as finalists through previous selection with a total of 15 participants, from 22 universities participating in this activity such as Diponegoro University, Hasanuddin University, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Sriwijaya University, Indonesia, Udayana University, Jember University, etc.
On the occasion, Sakhia, representing her colleagues, conducted an online interview with UPNVJ public relations, she told a lot about her preparation process when participating in this activity, "Initially we had participated in an essay competition like this and we felt we were suitable to work together as a team. And seeing that the theme is also good, we are interested in the theme because it discusses psychiatry besides that we are also interested because Medjonson is one of the national competitions which is quite prestigious. After discussion, we decided to take part in this competition and thank God we were selected as the top 10 finalists. We prepared presentations and questions and answers for the D-day as best we could and Alhamdulillah, at the time of the announcement, we won 1st place.” Say it with passion.
Sakhia explained that there were several things that had to be prepared, such as making essays based on the literature in the database, preparing presentations, and asking lots of questions to SpKJ lecturers about the topics in the competition.
