HumasUPNVJ - On September 13, 2024, a Biographical Novel Book Launching event was held entitled "Perjalanan Sang Profesor", which tells the life story of the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyanto, ST., M.Sc., IPM., who is also a lecturer at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta). This event was held online in the Multimedia Room, 1st Floor, Rectorate Building, Untirta Campus and was also broadcast offline via Zoom.

This event is part of a series of Untirta's 43rd Dies Natalis commemoration, with the theme "Working Together to Continue Human Resources for a Golden Indonesia". This event was attended by various important figures, including the Rector of Untirta, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, ST., MT, vice rectors, author of the book Liana D, Rector of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), Dr. Anter Venus, Ma., Comm., and the ranks of deans from several faculties from UPNVJ and Untirta.

The event began with a speech from the Rector of Untirta, Prof. Fatah Sulaiman, who expressed his hope that this book would provide great benefits for the next generation and inspire its readers. He said that this book depicts the story of a child from a simple family who remains steadfast in pursuing his dreams. He also congratulated the author of the book and hoped that rewards would continue to flow to those involved in the publication of this book.

Then, the Rector of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Dr. Anter Venus, gave appreciation to Prof. Supriyanto for his significant contribution in the world of education and research. The event continued with a book review session hosted by Dr. Ing. M. Iman Santoso, where Prof. Supriyanto and author Liana D shared stories about the writing process and the meaning of the book.

In the book review session, Prof. Supriyanto said that as an academic, two important things to have are academic excellence and social responsibility. He hopes that this book can provide wisdom and positive benefits for the younger generation.

The book The Professor's Journey tells the life journey of Prof. Supriyanto, who was born as the first of four children in a farming family. Although he lived a simple life, his determination and hard work made him successful in completing his education to become a leading academic. One interesting story is his meeting with his wife, Ana, whom he married after graduating at the age of 22. His life story is full of lessons about perseverance, dedication, and great ideals.

The book launch event was closed with a question and answer session involving invited guests. The biographical novel The Professor's Journey is now one of the readings that is expected to inspire many people through the real life journey of an extraordinary educational figure.
