HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has again made an achievement at the 37th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at the closing which took place on Friday, October 18, 2024.
UPNVJ has successfully won two prestigious awards at the PIMNAS event, which is an annual official event of the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education and Culture in the field of reasoning to compete for national-level student scientific works.
Although not included in the main champion category. This achievement shows that the spirit of innovation and creativity of UPNVJ students continues to grow and provide a positive impact in the national scientific realm.
On this occasion, Axel Putra Bintang Syahkuala Sebayang from the PKM KC team became a Talented Student of PKM KC-1 thanks to his project entitled "Speech: Efforts to Reduce Anxiety Levels When Speaking in Public for Glossophobia Sufferers Based on Mobile Applications Using Large Language Models." This project received great appreciation for providing concrete solutions for those suffering from glossophobia or public speaking anxiety, a problem that many people face.
The assessment criteria for “Talented Students” emphasize the ability to carry out roles, flexibility in thinking, openness to new experiences, courage to take risks, and confidence in communicating.
In addition, UPNVJ also won second place in the PKM-KC digital poster category through the work "TeaGuard: Mobile-based Pest and Disease Detection Application for Tea Plants." This innovative application was recognized for its contribution to the agricultural sector, especially in maintaining the health of tea plants, which is one of the important commodities in Indonesia.
Although UPNVJ did not become the overall champion, this success is an extraordinary achievement and proof that every student who has reached the PIMNAS stage is the best student in their field.
They have gone through a long process, from strict selection to the development of innovative and applicable projects. Every idea brought to this competition has the potential to provide real solutions to various problems faced by society.
On this occasion, Catur Nugrahaeni as the supervisor of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for Career and Entrepreneurship Development (PKK) said that PIMNAS is not just about trophies and titles, but about invaluable journeys and learning.
"Every participant who has made it to this event has proven their dedication in innovating and competing at the national level. They are true winners who are ready to become future leaders with innovative and bold ideas," said Catur.

Hopefully the spirit of this competition will continue to inspire students throughout Indonesia to continue to work and innovate for the progress of the nation," he hoped.
