As many as 16 students from the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) UPN "Veteran" Jakarta will carry out a student exchange program to Malaysia's neighboring countries, namely Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin. The debriefing and release of the Student Exchange participants at the Faculty of Computer Science was carried out by the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta, Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak., CPMA., CA in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Computer Science. The event was attended by the vice chancellor bid. General Affairs and finance, the dean of FIK, as well as other invitees. (Friday, 5/7/2019).
In his remarks, the Dean of FIK, Dr. Ermatita, M. Kom . said that "This student exchange program is the first time at the Faculty of Computer Science and is planned to be held annually and does not rule out collaboration with others such as apprenticeships."
It is planned that students will depart on Sunday July 7 2019 and will return a month later. Of the 16 students who took part in the student exchange program, they were divided into 2 universities in Malaysia, namely 11 students at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and 5 students at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin.
The Chancellor expressed his gratitude to the FIK staff who had carried out the student exchange program and hoped that the students would benefit the faculty and also that students would gain broader insights to be able to share with other fellow students.
“Please uphold the good name of UPNVJ and always be careful. In a new place there must be a new culture. Therefore, students must also be equipped with an understanding of Indonesian culture and also be prepared for cultural performances," he said.
The activity was welcomed by the students who will carry out the student exchange program . They have made thorough preparations, are ready to maintain the good name of UPNVJ and return to channel the knowledge they have gained.
