The Chancellor Appoints Deputy Deans, Heads of Departments, Secretary of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and Heads of the UPNVJ Laboratory

HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veterans Jakarta Chancellor Erna Hernawati appointed 17 lecturers with additional assignments. The appointed officials include; Deputy Dean, Head of Department, Secretary of Department, Head of Study Program, and Head of Laboratory within UPNVJ. The activity was held at the Rectorate Building, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium Room, on Wednesday (01/07/20).

The Chancellor, in this case, advised that by being elected, the officials appointed were elected and trusted to carry out the tasks in accordance with UPNVJ's vision.

"The task given should be grateful because this is a form of trust for us to carry out UPNVJ's vision. This task is indeed quite difficult, but I hope that this additional task can be carried out optimally," said the Chancellor.

The Chancellor said, the main thing that can be a provision is understanding the vision of UPNVJ, understanding the vision is fundamental to be able to carry out tasks in accordance with the direction of the goals.

"UPNVJ's vision is to become a superior PTN and have graduates who can compete, the word "excellent" has consequences that make us work continuously. Understanding the vision and mission is not only to be read, but this is our shared responsibility, not only the responsibility of the faculty and must be implemented in practice," he said.

According to the Chancellor, with the great public interest in choosing UPNVJ until now because they believe and want to see whether UPNVJ has a commitment that is in accordance with the stated vision. By seeing the existing vision, they have hope to graduate according to the stated vision.

"Everything we do and work on must be guided by our vision," explained the chancellor.

The Chancellor also added "accreditation is not only the responsibility of the faculty leadership but this is our shared responsibility, me as the chancellor and the next ranks. What I will do later in the new school year, I will do an evaluation regarding the 2019/2020 accreditation score. Hopefully when we do the evaluation we all improve the results of the accreditation score which has deficiencies and fix it according to the schedule which we will discuss later.

"For the current problem, we have an accreditation target in the midst of new normal conditions. Currently we are having discussions to hear directly what new normal concepts will be implemented in the new normal. This is done because I want to hear first hand what real concepts can be applied in the current conditions, not only regarding health protocols and distance lectures, but concepts for effective and unusual learning, because if we still use the old pattern then we will be left behind. in terms of learning," said the chancellor in front of the appointed officials.

Not only in the academic field, the chancellor also explained about our demands in the general and financial fields

“Funding is the main thing that has an impact on us and the students. With operational costs being narrowed down, we have to jointly evaluate and prioritize our implementation. The challenge is when we maintain quality with limited funds. This condition is a leadership challenge to make cost efficiency of the various implementations to be carried out. Efficiency and productive issues are not only targeted for one period but for the long term, "concluded the chancellor.

The inauguration which was attended by bureau heads, vice-chancellors, deans and heads of this institution took place while still prioritizing health protocols in the new normal era. After the procession of taking the oath of office, the appointed officials signed the handover document.
