HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again demonstrated its international achievements by sending three lecturers to participate in the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility program at the University of Poitiers, France.
The three UPNVJ lecturers, Dianwicaksih Arieftiara, Fachru Nofrian, and Achmad Nur Hidayat, were involved in various academic activities that took place from September 30 to October 11, 2024.
The Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Program is part of the Erasmus+ International Academics Mobility Program, a European Union initiative aimed at strengthening academic cooperation between universities in various countries by providing scholarships or mobility funds to lecturers and students.
The implementation of Teaching Mobility is the result of exploration of cooperation that has been initiated since 2022 by the Faculty of Economics and Business UPNVJ and the Faculté de Sciences Économique Université de Poitiers, bridged by Fachru Nofrian and a network of colleagues from France.
In addition to the aim of teaching, the three UPNVJ lecturers selected for this program also have the mission of establishing collaboration to strengthen research, especially related to study topics at the Center for Sustainable and Strategic Development (Strategies and Sustainable Development-SSuD Center) in line with the focus of the Laboratory and the direction of research policy on University of Poitiers and UPNVJ.
In this mobility, the three UPNVJ lecturers had the opportunity to teach and discuss with researchers, lecturers and academics as well as students at the University of Poitiers.
Through this program, UPNVJ lecturers introduce Indonesian perspectives on economics, public policy, finance and sustainability issues, while absorbing new insights from the European education system.
Teaching Experience in an International Environment
During the program, Dr. Dianwicaksih Arieftiara, a lecturer at FEB UPNVJ, taught topics related to corporate taxation, Environmental Social and Governance, and Sustainability Reporting and Circular Economy in Indonesia. She also had the opportunity to present her research and discuss potential research in the coming years. (joint research) on the topic of Sustainability.
Fachru Nofrian as a lecturer at FEB UPNVJ presented his latest research on the extractive industry and its impacts. Meanwhile, Achmad Nur Hidayat, who is also a UPNVJ economist and public policy expert, delivered material on health policies and environmental issues in Indonesia.
This program provides an opportunity for UPNVJ lecturers to enrich their teaching materials with new experiences and introduce different teaching approaches.
Students at the University of Poitiers benefit from Southeast Asian perspectives, especially in the study of public policy and global economics. On the other hand, UPNVJ lecturers can learn interactive teaching methods applied in Europe, such as case studies and open discussions.
Enhancing Academic and Research Collaboration
In addition to teaching, UPNVJ lecturers also engage in academic discussions with colleagues at the University of Poitiers. This meeting is expected to open the door to future research collaborations.

Participation in the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility program demonstrates UPNVJ's commitment to strengthening global academic networks and increasing the capacity of lecturers in providing world-class education. This activity also strengthens UPNVJ's role in developing research at the international level.
