LVRI: UPNVJ Chancellor Contributes and Makes Great Service to Indonesian Veterans

HumasUPNVJ - The Legion of Veterans of the Republic of Indonesia (LVRI), an organization that accommodates the aspirations of veterans in the country, has given the highest award to the Chancellor of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) Anter Venus.

LVRI considers Venus as a figure who has made positive contributions and rendered great services to veterans throughout the country.

"This highest award from LVRI is given to people who have contributed to LVRI through their participation and positive contributions," said LVRI Chairman Lt. Gen. TNI (ret.) HBL Mantiri at the award ceremony at the Pondok Labu Campus of UPNVJ on Friday, October 4, 2024.

"The awarding of this award is done selectively, not carelessly, because we must maintain our own dignity and honor as LVRI," he continued.

"In this case, Dr. Anter Venus as the Chancellor of UPNVJ has provided great attention and moral and material assistance to the LVRI development efforts," said Mantiri.

He said that Venus' commitment to instilling the values of struggle and National Defense at UPNVJ has had a major impact on the education sector, and the benefits have also been felt by LVRI and all its members.

Guidelines for the Next Generation of the Nation

Venus' commitment, Mantiri continued, is said to be a reflection of the phrase, "A great nation is a nation that respects the services of its heroes." In this case, the Indonesian veterans are the nation's heroes who have fought and sacrificed their lives to achieve independence.

Mantiri said that the ranks of veterans are living witnesses and actors of the struggle of the Indonesian nation. The values and fighting spirit of the veterans are considered "still strong and relevant to be made a guideline for the next generation of the nation," including in the UPNVJ environment.

He said that it was only right that UPNVJ was strongly committed to continuing to synergize with LVRI in building the nation and state.

"We from LVRI express our deepest gratitude, and allow us to give this star as the highest award to Mr. Anter Venus," said Mantiri.

"Hopefully the good cooperation so far can continue for the benefit of the community, nation and state," he concluded.
